Gold embroidery is a fascinating embroidery technique. The gold thread is laid on the surface of the fabric and secured there with colored silk thread. This so-called “couching technique” quickly produces a spectacular effect.

This package makes the introduction to gold embroidery easy. Gold-wrapped thread (5 m) and fine couching thread in four different vegetable-dyed shades (2 m each) are sufficient for embroidering a small design, and beautifully nuanced effects are possible with the various colors of the couching threads. To help ensure success, a short instruction sheet and a design suggestion are included.
