stone spindle whorls

These stone spindle whorls are made after the finds from Coppergate in York (published in Walton Rogers, Penelope. Textile Production at 16-22 Coppergate, The Archaeology of York Vol. 17: The Small Finds. York: Council for British Archaeology, 1997). They correspond to forms used in the 9th to 10th, 10th to early 12th century, and after the 12th century.

The whorls are from limestone in different colours, their weights are between 25 and 55 g. You can ask for a certain colour, form, weight range or period in the comments to your order, and I will pick the whorl that is the best match.
