Shipping to Netherlands possible due to de minimis threshold there!

Due to the new EU regulations on packaging waste, all other shipping into EU countries will still remain paused. Regulations were starting on August 12, 2026. The new regulations is valid for all vendors selling within the EU. There was a discussion in the EU committee on a threshold for small volumes or a memorandum on part of the rules, but unfortunately, it came to nothing.

If you are inconvenienced by this situation, my suggestion would be to write a short, polite, personal note about how you feel directly to the EU commissioner in charge of the department in question. Her name is Jessika Roswall, and you can find a contact email address on her webpage. If there is enough feedback from the public, maybe things will still change. Shipping is currently only available for Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Canada and other non-EU countries with the exception of the US and Great Britain.

Linen is (unfortunately) hard to dye with natural colours; especially mordant colours such as madder are problematic. However, we do have some very rare finds from the Middle Ages with coloured linen (or linen where modern analytic methods have shown traces of colouring). This means at least some linen was dyed in the Middle Ages, even if we don't know to what extent this was done.

The linen threads offered here are fine, two-ply threads. The blue thread has been dyed with indigo in a fermentation vat, the red thread with madder. Each roll around a reed core is c 50 m of thread.

I am very sorry, but due to the Brexit regulations, I am not able to sell or ship to the UK anymore.

Unfortunately shipping to the US is currently also not possible!

Because of the new tariff regulations active now, DHL is currently not offering any affordable shipments to the US and the US tax zone of Puerto Rico. I am sorry and hope that this issue will be resolved soon; until then, ordering to an address in the USA is unfortunately not possible.
