This cloth is 185 cm wide and is a typical modern cloth for counted work. For medieval embroidery, fabric with a similar thread count was used as ground for embroideries in woolen thread. The fabric is also well suited for becoming familiar with the various embroidery stitches for counted work before changing to a finer woven cloth and smaller stitches in counted work in silk. The cloth is ordered by the meter: 2 pieces means 2 meters of cloth.
