This braid is made from 100% mulberry silk, tightly braided so it is suitable as a lace or drawstring. The thicker version is approximately 2 mm in diameter, the thinner version measures about 1 mm.

The braid is a regular 2/2 braid. This braiding pattern cannot be achieved with normal loopbraiding technique; the braid is thus not a perfect imitation of a medieval hand-braided lace. You will have to look very closely to see this, though.

Price is per metre of braid; you can order lengths with a decimal point (eg 1.6 m).
