The Coburg Fox sheep is a sheep with a characteristic reddish-brown coat colour. The sheep wool becomes lighter in colour with growing age of the sheep. The sheep breed is these days mostly used in landscape management. The top offered here is quite light beige with single darker, reddish fibres mixed in. The top spins beautifully and is very suitable for beginners as well as advanced spinners.

The top is machine-made in a very small combing works in Germany. Before spinning I recommend to slightly draft out the top, making the band a little slimmer and longer; this loosens up the fibres in the band and makes spinning easier.
