Winter Break - my winter break is coming up, and the last day for sending out orders this year is December 19. From December 20 to January 13 I will be on winter break. Orders coming in during this time will be sent off after my return.

Weaving knife made from German hardwoods, oriented on find DW80 from Dublin. The knife has the size and shape of the original find, only the carved decoration has been omitted.

The rounded blade of the knife is perfect for pressing in the weft with a smooth rocking or rolling motion. The knife tip can be used to single out individual threads, for instance to help localise a mistake; it is also very well suited to clear the shed and to make insertion of the knife into the shed easier. The knife back is broad enough to be helpful when fixing mistakes as well - making the knife a perfect and beautiful tool for tablet weaving.

Handmade in Germany from regional hardwoods, carved, sanded, polished and finished with a coat of linseed oil.
